Be a Kind Stranger

We hitchhiked across the world, and every mile came from a Kind Stranger who didn't have to help. They were kind to those in need when given the chance. Here is your chance.

Our mission

What’s a Kind Stranger?

We were told the world was dangerous. Then we hitchhiked across it, carried only by the kindness of strangers.

  1. 1

    They helped us

They pulled over, let us sleep in their house, or shared tea and meals, out of kindness to a stranger.

  2. 2

    We saw what they needed

Although they were rich in generosity and gratitude, they often lacked bare essentials, like access to clean water, education, and medical care.

  3. 3

    Kind Strangers continue the chain

We documented our journey, and it reached strangers all over the world. We believe these are Kind Strangers too, and we wanted to give them the chance to be kind.

Clean Water in Mauritania

Water rights have recently changed in this region, pressuring communities to purchase what was once free. Funds donated to this project go directly to alleviating the concerns of water access and cleanliness.

How 100% is possible

Kind Strangers helping Kind Strangers

Getting your gift to a community in Mauritania costs something. There are payment processing fees, the trip to the project, and filming the results so you can see them.

Those costs are covered by other Kind Strangers, who give specifically to keep Kind Stranger running. Their kindness means all of yours reaches the project.
